Evidently we had tryouts for the basketball team yesterday at 6. Are we looking to pick someone up? That would make 3 walkons on the team if they did. I'm just not sure what they are looking for. If we pick up someone I'm going to be stunned.

We have had try-outs for as long as I can remember. It is the UNCG basketball team, so might as well see if any kids from the general pop can play.

They do this at almost every school. A friend's roomate played 4 years at NCSU after making their team this way. It works out to have more practice players.

I know we've always had tryouts. As for other schools a lot of them have a practice squad or jv team. It just caught me a little off guard that's all.
