Ah, the turnovers, couldn't hit a shot....oh wait i didn't listen or watch. Was it as bad as the score indicated?
Like I said in another post...Koivisto is kinda regressing.
Did Oliver not play anywhere close to okay? He has talent so hopefully it's just taking him a little time to adjust...Smith on the other hand is a little overwhelmed.
I've been waiting for Mikko to get the KO-type attitude and start attacking the basket. Instead, he seems content to just back up when he's being guarded closely./quote]
Okay, see I was thinking the same thing and the sad thing is having watched UNCG for several years; Oleksiak is not even in the top 5 of our shoot guards, but he is light years better than what we have this year.
Oliver and Smith are a failed experiment. Neither has done much of anything at the point and I don't see them getting much better. Oliver scored 30+ a game in HS, we should move him to the 2-guard and let him drive and dish.
I don't know what to do at this point. I'm glad to see Toney getting more minutes. On offense at least he can drive (if he would).
Mikko has me baffled.
Eargle and Stywall.....phenomenal.
Eargle set a career record for blocks last night (5). He is going to be a 20 point a game scorer by senior year and he leads the league in blocks (all players not just freshmen). IF we can only get these guys some capable help, we'd win a whole lot more games.
