I'm ready to see if this confident G team will be on display. Last time G didn't have much energy and it took a whole half before someone brought some passion to the court. Any ideas on what the student turnout should be? Have exams started yet?

I'm sure they will have their downs but as I see it against players our size "mid major" we are 2-0. We've got several of them in a row now. I think we should have a good shot in almost all of them except Richmond. They were picked #2 in the A10. Plus, I'm loving how teams are looking at ...

BTW, Elon beat UTC 82-63. Yes, the same Elon that lost to Samford by 24 on Thursday night. Get ready for some fun SoCon ups and downs.

Steven, did you get to see any of the feed? The rotation today was perfect. Started Kyle, KVD, Toney, Ben & Pete. Brought in Evans at the first timout for Toney and then rotated all 5 guards at every break. Seemed to work perfect. The big men had a nice rotation of Pete, Ben, Bone & Cole. Bo...

I listened to CofC's game against Davidson today after the G game. Davidson shot something like 18% in the first half an were only down 11 b/c CofC doesn't rebound. DC had something like 25 offensive rebs in the game. I'll be honest, the 2nd half today is the best half of basketball I've ever seen U...

Cool. Just finishing up my preview post for the blog (30 minutes before game time). I'm glad this game is on the road. I've had a massive head cold all week. The recovery had been slow. Doubt I would have made it to teh game if it had been today.

Geez...31? What's happened to Elon?
It appears that they couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat.

After doing a little digging on Samford, it appears that they basically haven't lost anyone from last year's squad. Hopefully seeing them twice and seeing Princeton last year will help us playing against that system.

Samford put a pretty nasty beatdown on Elon last night in Birmingham, 55-31 . Elon shot 26% (12% from 3) while Samford show 50% (47% from 3) We have played decent on the road this year. Let's hope we can again b/c this is the first SoCon game.

You know, I thought KVD was a pull up and set shooter only. Who would have thunk we actually got 2 point guards who can drive and dish and when they both gain some weight and get stronger, finish consistantly. And from following Drew Parker this year (who is averaging over 7 assists per game) we wi...

I'm hoping that getting the full week off (and not the normal SoCon Thurs/Sat or Sat/Mon schedule) will help out from a preparation stand point and from a fatigue stand point.

Thirlla, it looks like your team gave them a good run last night. Congrats. I knnow you'd have like to have won, but a 13 point loss is nothing to scoff at. Good luck going forward. BTW, did I read right that Auburn had a 6'-8" center?

What is the atmosphere like in the RBC for a State game? I remember when when had our MEAC tournament there to years ago the place seemed so huge and quiet. Granted, the low turnout of our fans probably had something to do with that. LOL This will be my first game there in several years. But, if it...
